I remember standing out on our front balcony one hot, still, summer night... watching as people biked or walked down the street, laughing, talking, or singing with friends. Looking at this painting, I can just feel the warm air and hear the faint sounds of the city. This painting shows the warmly-lit window next door, the streetlights through the trees, and little pinpoints of stars visible in the night sky. 🌙 I remember trying to store up the feeling of the moment in hopes that I'd be able to retrieve it later and relive it whenever I wished.
