Plants on the Windowsill

This painting is of the plants in our living room window on an overcast late winter’s day. I love to garden during summer months and, during the cooler months, our windowsills and bookshelves tend to be overflowing with plants brought in for the season. The diffuse light coming in through the window was a pleasant contrast to the interior shadows and plant shapes.
